you will need to bring it down in another bigger monitor.

you can also try doing this blindly, with a combination of key strokes. like type exactly this

1. WindowsKey+R (to open the run window)

2. control panel (opens control panel)

3. disp (type it fast, this will highlight the display icon on control panel)

4. Enter

5. Tab 4 times (this will focus the Theme tab)

6. RightArrow 4 times (to focus Settings)

7. Tab (focus the screen resolution bar)

8. LeftArrow (to move down in the resulitions)How to change Display setting if monitor is not working properly?
In what way is your monitor not working? If you have not had this problem before, maybe you should look at your graphics adapter.
Go into safe mode. by Pressing F8 as computer is starting. This will load the lowest resolution setting you should be able to fix the problem then.
If you are running Windows, when you start your computer, press the F8 key to get into start up. At that point you can change the resolution back.
Try to run your Window OS at safe mode during boot up.

(if you do not know how to boot to safe mode, follow this link: http://www.laplink.com/support/kb/articl )

Set your monitor resolution back to the previous working ones.

Restart the Window OS again.

Hope this help
First of all check if the monitor is properly plugged in !

sometimes the plug becomes loose.

if the plug is intact then remove it , clean it with a dry and soft brush just to clean the dust.

then plug it back in...

if that too doesnt help,

then try to restore the same settings back, if your monitor displays any thing at all.

but if all these things fail, dont be shy to turn to a computer hardware professional for help.

After all everyone needs help once in a while!
I need to know the OS you are using. But if it is XP, watch the screen during boot. Interrupt the boot sequence and select VGA mode. To interrupt, the key is usually F8. Can't guarantee that though.
