Window Xp wallpaper not change & display settings not shown.?

One day back suddenly, a warning message appear on my computer



of unknown anti virus advertisement. That message says '; My



computer is effected by ';Win32/PrivacyRemover.M64 Virus';.

And a wallpaper set on my computer, Says ';SPYWARE DETECTED';



due to this I try to change my wallpaper, but display window



are not shown on Display setting. after that I found Screen



saver window is also not shown on display setting.

please provide help to correct that problem.

Firstly, antivirus programs will NOT remove these as they are malicious codecs, although they may find reference to them and remove it but upon rebooting it's back again.

Disconnect your computer from the internet

Run vundo

Restart your computer

Run the tool again to ensure no traces are left.

If there are the reboot into Safe Mode and run FixVundo again.

If the problem persists, turn OFF System Restore and scan with the above programs in Safe Mode, Right click My computer %26gt; select Properties %26gt; System Restore Tab %26gt; Tick Turn Off System restore on all drives.



After scans are complete and machine is clean remember to turn system restore back ON and create a new restore point.



Once your scans are complete and your machine is clean, uninstall some of the programs, I suggest that you keep Malwarebytes for manual scanning, Spyware Doctor for realtime monitoring and Spybot. The remainder can be removed to save drive space, but you may want to keep the installers for future use.
