How to change display icon?

I need to change icon (in windows xp) say for example open folder icon and i want it to be applied for all the folder icon.-hope u get my question! How to change display icon?
Do you mean that you want to change the appearance of all of your folders or just the appearance of the inside of folders?

Open any directory--right click on anywhere and select view/icons.

Drag a box around all of the folders that you want to change the appearance of--all of the folders that you want to change should be highlighted--right click on anywhere and select properties/customize and select change icon.

Or just do a Google search for 'customize folder icons at once' and there's a bunch of programs avaliable to customize the appearances of folders. How to change display icon?
Check your documentation. If you do not have any documentation, ask your system administrator. If you do not have a system administrator close to you, try the public library. My favorites are ';The Complete Idiot's Guides'; (which are good for people who do not have much knowledge about the subject they are researching) and ';The Dummies Guides'; (which are good for people who need to solve a problem quickly).
