My daughter has a dell inspiron nickelodeon edition,she cannot get it to change the display theme,any advice?

She wants it to not have the nickelodeon theme anymore,but when she tries to cange it to the normal windows xp theme, it says ';acess denied';. I don't know how to help her, so any advice?My daughter has a dell inspiron nickelodeon edition,she cannot get it to change the display theme,any advice?
Log into the administrator account, right click any blank spot on desk top screen/start screen then click properties from pop up window, click desk top tab, choose screen back ground, click apply and save. hm...... is she the only user on the laptop? its possible she does not have administrator privileges. Go to controll panel, user accounts, and select turn off User Account Controll. It should work now.



User account controll is this microsoft security feature that is beyond stupid. it cant do crap for security, but makes using your computer a huge pain. Basically it creates an additional invisible user account that has all the admin privileges so malicious programs cannot change certain settings. In reality it doesnt work because 40 year old software writers that live this thier mom's basement are smarter than most of the morons at microsoft.
log in as administrator
