I have Windows Vista. I bought the cord that goes to my laptop to my TV.... I just dont know how to change the settings to my TV. When I do it my background goes on the TV but thats it, there are no icons.How to change Windows Display to HDTV?
I have XP, not vista, so the lingo may be different....
Go to Display Properties %26gt; Settings.
Press ';Identify'; button.
If you see a big ';1'; on your laptop and a ';2'; on your TV, then you're in ';Extend'; mode.
Un-check the box that says ';Extend my Windows onto this monitor'; Make sure you do it for the one you want to turn off.
