How to change the display color setting?

I am using windows 7. I need 1024x768 resolution with 16 or 32 bits.There is the only one choice for 1024x768 with 256 color. There is no choice to change to 16 bits or 32 color under the monitor: color setting, but only 256 color.PLease give me some instructions. ThanksHow to change the display color setting?
Step 1


Click the ';Start'; button on the bottom left of your computer to display the Start menu. Choose the ';Control Panel'; option from the right side of the Start menu. The ';Control Panel'; window will open onto your desktop.





Step 2


Double-click the ';Display'; icon from the Control Panel to open the ';Display Properties'; dialog box. You can then select the ';Settings'; tab from the top of the dialog box.





Step 3


Slide the bar under the ';Screen resolution'; setting of the ';Display Properties'; dialog box to decrease or increase the screen resolution. The chosen resolution will be displayed under the sliding bar.





Step 4


Use the ';Color quality'; drop-down list to choose the type of quality you want your computer to use. You can choose to have the color quality be ';Medium,'; ';High'; or ';Highest.';





Step 5


Click the ';Apply'; button at the bottom of the ';Display Properties'; dialog box to apply the settings. If you are not happy with the settings you can change them as instructed in the steps above.





Step 6


Choose the ';OK'; button when you are happy with your display setting changes. The ';Display Properties'; dialog box will close and the settings will be saved.How to change the display color setting?
This means that your video card does not support the settings you want the screen to display. If this is the case you will have to change out your video card if you want that resolution and colors.

Follow these steps





1.Right-click on your desktop and choose ';Screen resolution.'; You can also click on the ';Start'; menu and choose ';Control Panel,'; ';Appearance and Personalization,'; ';Adjust Screen Resolution.';





2.Click the ';Resolution'; drop-down box.





3.Slide the resolution up to increase the resolution.





4.Slide the resolution down to decrease the resolution.





5.Click ';Apply.'; The resolution changes in size and clarity, depending on your selection.





6.Click ';Keep'; or ';Revert'; to accept or reject the resolution changes.
